Given the name "Ejimofor," which translates to "I have justice" in Igbo, E.J.'s mother chose this name for her son because she believed he was the child to bring justice to her life for the tough times she has endured. From the moment of his birth to his years of growth into adulthood, E.J. has exemplified peace and genuine respect for people, leading him to become more than an athlete, but a thought leader and worldwide philanthropist. Despite his confidence to march to the beat of his own drum began, E.J. once had trouble making friends and relating with others.
With time and never shying away from his identity, E.J. self-molded into a true visionary. To this day, E.J. feels his best when helping others feel their best on and off the court. His natural gift of identifying the potential in others and leading them to believe in becoming their best self has paved another path for E.J. beyond the court, helping people in underserved communities tap into their potential. Ultimately, by remaining true to self, E.J. has become whom he wanted to meet when he was a young man, lending to his favorite quote: “To thine own self be true.”
PHILANTHROPIST
Combining outreach and basketball through worldwide charity initiatives and workshops is E.J.’s ministry. From founding a talent support agency for promising talent in Africa, founding a basketball league in Mali, West Africa for over 700 children (boys and girls under the age of 17), and attending festivals all over the world teaching kids throughout different villages about the game of basketball, E.J. aims to continue creating opportunities to impact underserved communities. At 24 years old, E.J. has never shied away from turning the can nots into the can dos, as he exemplifies the expression "If there's a will, there's a way." Through his business ventures, nonprofit initiatives, and on-court successes, E.J. has no fear in introducing new ideas and influencing those within respective industries.

E.J. masterfully capitalizes on resources within the sports industry and uses those resources to seize new opportunities to grow as an individual and a brand.
